AESA organized Organic training, in Antwerp, within the “Better Training for Safer Food" BTSF project, an initiative of the European Commission’s Health and Food Safety Directorate-General DGSANTE aimed at organising a European Union (EU) training strategy in the areas of food law, feed law, animal health and animal welfare rules, as well as plant health rules.
The project consists in 14 training sessions for a total of 425 participants, represented by staff of competent authorities of the EU Member States and selected non-EU countries (control bodies and control authorities) involved in the official control of organic products.
The main goals of the project are to further improve the knowledge of the control requirements and to foster the exchange of experiences, disseminate best practices and enhance uniformity for organic farming control activities and procedures.
