The specific objectives of the programme is to contribute to the achievement of MDG1 by:

• Improving the food security and nutrition of the poorest and most vulnerable in South and South-East Asia by introducing and facilitating the adoption of productive and environmentally sustainable agricultural technologies;
• To contribute to creating/improving market linkages to improve food and nutritional security of both rural producers and urban consumers in South and South-East Asia
